Our client is looking for a Term Time only Education Sales Consultant to join their expanding team. They are a global leader in Education services and this is an exciting time to join their expanding team. The role is home based with travel to Primary schools.
Your territory will include: Edinburgh, Dundee, Mid, East & West Lothian, Aberdeenshire & City, Fife and Scottish Borders

This fantastic opportunity will involve joining the high performing National Sales team, managing your own territory to maximise your opportunities specifically speaking with Primary schools.

You will be engaging with key decision makers including Headteachers, Teachers Subject leaders/co-ordinators at Primary schools. This will involve talking to them to understand their challenges and articulating how the companys products and services can support them in raising children’s attainment. Products and services include print, books, digital learning content, digital services connecting parents, pupils and teachers, coursework material and exams. The company are well established within the Education sector and schools will already be aware of their name.
This is not a hard sales role and would involve a consultative sales approach. Exploring the needs, problems or challenges faced and then linking them to relevant products and services that can help the school to improve the learning services available to their students, teachers and parents.
You will be able to work from home so good organisational skills and self-motivation is essential. You will have access to a database of contacts at Primary schools in your geographical area. You will speak to them on the phone and face to face to discuss the features and benefits of the products & services offered and how they can support their needs.
Experience of selling services to schools or local authorities would be beneficial although not essential. You don’t need prior experience in the Education sector, although the company like to hire people with a genuine interest in the sector.
Product training provided with the opportunity to shadow experienced colleagues in order to gain knowledge
Stare Date: August 2017
Hours: Mon – Fri, 37.5 hours per week. Some flex due travel
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum + bonus of up to 20% of salary paid annually + Company car + Laptop, mobile and tablet + Generous benefits
Type: Permanent, Term Time only- 195 days annually
