Operations Manager (Oxfordshire)
Our client is a rapidly expanding national training provider and they are now looking for a strong ‘people person’ who leads by example to get the best from others. You should also thrive when working under pressure and be responsive to changing priorities and situations.
You will be based at the client’s head office in Oxfordshire, however frequent travel will be required.
The role will involve managing a team of 6 Assessors and you will also be involved in quality, Internal verification and some Assessing.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Quality
• Manage the quality, verification, standardisation and achievement of WBL.
• Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
• Conducting regular agreed field observations of Assessors
• Ensuring Assessors undergo continuous professional development (CPD)
• Ensuring Assessors provide their caseload of learners with information, advice and guidance to successfully complete their qualification
• Standardising and monitoring learning programme delivery (verification) ensuring that the Key Learner Processes are adhered to
• Managing accurate and effective completion of all documentation to ensure contractual requirements are adhered to
• Supporting and carrying out self-assessment and development planning
People
• Conducting regular team communication meetings
• Managing performance issues with Assessors
Operations
• Attending meetings and working groups as required
• Ensuring that appropriate Additional Learning Needs/Additional Social Needs learners are identified and appropriate support provided
• Complete learner and employer visits and manage a caseload of learners.
• Identify funding streams and complete tenders and bids
Information
• Managing accurate and effective completion of all documentation to ensure contractual requirements are adhered to
• Ensuring timely completion of monitoring activities
• To inform and advise colleagues and senior management on emerging initiatives, changes and priorities appropriate to business activities.
• Ensuring registration and certification documentation is completed correctly and on time
Essential Skills
• In-depth knowledge of work based learning and NVQ/Apprenticeship delivery

• Good standard of general education including 5 GCSEs - English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent
• Achieved AVA / A1 / D32 qualification
• Achieved IQA / V1 / D33/D34 qualification
