NEET Tutor / Co-ordinator
Our client is looking for a NEET Tutor / Co-ordinator to join their company in Basildon, Essex.
This position will provide young job seekers with employability skills and a stepping stone towards an apprenticeship. The programme is aimed at people aged 16-19 years old so experience of working with this age group would be preferred.
You will be leading on Pre - Employment programmes. Tasks could include providing employability skills including careers advice and guidance, CV writing, Job search support and interview advice.
Knowledge and experience of the Hospitality Industry would be preferred as a lot of work is carried out in this industry sector by the company
Purpose of role:
To be responsible for the development, coordination and successful performance of a range of NEET and Employability programmes, including Access to Apprenticeships (A2A), within a specified area. To achieve contractual targets and agreed outcomes in respect of specific contracts or projects. The post holder will also be required to deliver some or all aspects of these programmes.
To be responsible for:
• Leading on local projects or contracts for delivery of NEET / Pre-Employment programmes
• Development of program activities and resources to meet desired outcomes of contracts, qualifications and funding guidance
• Development and maintenance of partnerships and business opportunities with key stakeholders and delivery partners including WP Prime Contractors, JCPs, Councils, National Careers Service and other partners and agencies to actively grow the share of the NEET and Pre-Employment market
• Development of key employer contacts to support the supply of work experience placements, Apprenticeship vacancies and employer involvement in specific programmes
• Promoting and raising the profile of the company locally in the Pre-Employment arena and active marketing to support learner recruitment to allocated projects
• Ensuring contractual and company targets and benchmarks for key deliverables including Job starts, Job outcomes and Job sustainments are achieved in line with each contract or project
• Coordination and delivery of local bids and opportunities through ESF funding and other sources of funding for NEET and pre-employment opportunities in conjunction with the Area or National Employability Manager
• Local labour market and employer research and engagement to support employment outcomes
• Supporting the development of the pre-employability qualification offer, working with the National Employability Manager, the Development team and assigned Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that the qualification offer is compatible with client and local labour market needs and allows the company to maximise funding opportunities
• Coordination and delivery the delivery of high quality programmes to clients to support them moving nearer to and into sustained employment or paid Apprenticeships
• Achievement of overall and timely set benchmarks and success rates for programme delivery
• Maintenance of high delivery and assessment standards and sharing of good practice nationally and regionally in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager
• Adherence to funding, audit and contractual requirements as required by the company and external agencies
• Ensure the adherence of processes, procedures and paperwork in relation to all programmes in order to meet contractual, legislative and quality requirements
• Ensure the update of all relevant MI systems in order to meet contractual, legislative and quality requirements
• Support the recruitment and selection of NEET / pre-employment Trainer Advisors and Employment Consultants in line with specific project requirements
• Performance management and regular review of all direct reports and effective application of the performance management process for area Identification of staff development needs in conjunction National Quality Manager and National Employability Manager

Entry requirements
Experience in a management / coordination role including some experience of people management, quality assurance management and management of outcome / target-based contracts
Comprehensive understanding of the NEET / pre-employment agenda, to include focus on achievement of job outcome targets and coordinating or delivering training interventions to support job outcomes
Qualifications
Essential requirements: Assessor qualification, Occupational competence in Hospitality, PTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification
Desirable requirements: Qualifications in Hospitality and/or Management; Advice and Guidance qualifications at level 3 or above; prior experience of working in a Welfare to Work environment and with groups of NEET learners aged 16-19 years
