Hospitality Training Partnership (HTP)
HTP is a regional training provider delivering a range of Apprenticeships in the South of England including Hospitality, Management, Retail, Customer Service, Business Administration, ICT, Childcare and Health and Social Care.
Rated Outstanding (Grade 1) and identified as one of the top 12 training providers in the UK by Ofsted, HTP understand that the calibre of their staff is key to their success as a training provider of exceptional quality. So when at the end of June 2015 they needed to recruit three new assessor / trainers to support their continued success they turned to New Futures Recruitment to partner them in the process.
Inevitably the recruitment project was time critical as the new assessors were required to be in post by September. New Futures worked closely with HTP from the start to fully understand their requirements for the roles and so ensure that the recruitment process was as efficient and effective as possible. They advertised the roles extensively but also interrogated their own database in order to identify appropriate candidates. After a rigorous screening and interview process HTP were presented with a list of candidates for interview in July.

“As a Grade 1 private training provider specialising in delivering Government funded programmes, it is vital that we attract the highest calibre candidates to ensure we continue to deliver training and qualifications that have a real impact on our learners and employers.
We have used traditional advertising in the past but the cost of this is often extortionate. We do advertise via our website and therefore responses are reasonable, but the calibre of applicant varies immensely. Often only a fraction of the applicants are invited for interview.
Working with New Futures for a number of years now has seen us form a great partnership as they really understand our sector and us as an organisation. We supply a job description and person specification, and they basically do the rest. The team provide us with high level, job relevant and referenced candidates and of course CVs for us to view. A high percentage of those are considered for interview and many have been successful over the years. In fact New Futures has provided the majority of candidates who have gone on to be employed by us.
We need to be sure that we are sifting and interviewing suitable candidates as time is money and often the recruitment process can be a drawn out and frustrating affair. The New futures solution works for HTP Training as its saves us valuable time and cost us the same or less money in the long run.
